“ I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got to go. They have seating indoors and outdoors - all of it warm, comfy, and very vibey. Perfect for a cold day. We had a larger group and split some of the pizzas. My favorite was the spinach and fennel - taste profile was so different from what I've had before and still delicious! I would love to have tried some of the other pizzas and some of the bread so I'll definitely have to come back ”

“ On Tuesdays, they have Tavern style pizzas, which from my understanding is a Chicago classic that many have forgotten (including myself). The place was PACKED on Tuesday. We made a reservation ahead of time, but were only offered to sit outside on the covered patio (despite a large rainstorm coming). Be prepared FYI! Some of our pizza did get a bit of rain water on it LOL Anyway, the pizza was so good! It's one of my favorites in the city! ”

“ Good vibe. Good food. Good time. First time here and I can't wait to come back. The interior was adorable and patio looks like the perfect hang out when it's warmer. The standout was the food! I split the spinach + fennel pizza. For a Neapolitan, this had the perfect bake. The char you see is not burnt, but delicious wood-fired flavor. Cooked well throughout with limited flop in middle. Breadcrumbs we're SO unique and made this pizza herbaceous and savory, it kept me coming back for more ”

“ This is the most EXPENSIVE pizza you'll ever eat, know that before you go. One pizza not on HH will run you $40 which is insane! The pepperoni pizza will remain in my mind as my new favorite! Something about a slight tang in the sauce they use- it was unique and I could eat a whole pizza by myself!! The float drink we had was great especially for me who doesn't like wine! The atmosphere is very hipster, communal tables ( this I didn't like because it makes it hard to navigate without hitting someone), low lighting, candles, you know! They are not big on adding additional items to pizza or removing items so just know this is not a necessarily flexible establishment but the food was great! Service was ok ! Their housemade Kombucha is very good! The vegan spinach and fennel pizza was also so flavorful! We came in a weeknight so pizza only took 20 ish minutes , I recommend a bread ”

“ We visited Bungalow by Middle Brow for Tavern Tuesday and we were very happy with our experience. We made a reservation a couple of weeks in advance and were seated right away. The ambiance is light and airy, with some individual tables and some communal tables. We ordered one cheese pizza and one veg supreme pizza and asked for both well done. Both pizzas were super light and crunchy, with the veg supreme being perfectly topped as to not make the crust soggy. The cheese pizza was pretty greasy, but not in a way that made in unappealing to our group. Service was kind and efficient. We will definitely be back! ”

“ If you are looking for some of the best pizza in Chicago, look no further. Oh wow, my life changed forever after that first bite. Every aspect of my Bungalow experience was perfect, so I will do my best to touch on it all. First: the people. The staff were amazing. And, everybody in there quite literally looked like the coolest person on the planet. Everyone was authentically Chicago. So much swagger, and everyone seemed genuinely passionate about their work. They were chatting with patrons about the food, ales, etc. The place is jumping. Casual dining that feels quite communal. An amazing patio tops it all off. So, I was coaxed into the sourdough loaf. Wow, incredible. The strawberry jam and cheese were excellent pairings. The bread was baked to perfection. For the pizza I got soppresata and honey. The honey gave just enough sweetness. The soppresata har a nice kick and the crust was light and incredible. I couldn't leave without a chocolate chip cookie. The thing is thin and massive. Dark brown, with a light sprinkle of sea salt. The edges are crispy, while the middle stays nice and soft. It's super rich and beautifully crafted. Bungalow was absolutely one of my most memorable dining experiences of 2024 with, indubitably, some of the best food. ”

“ Have been here a few times and 1. It's always busy and 2. The foods always good. I guess those two correlate. I love the mushroom and butternut squash pizzas and the bread. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are also an experience. I love how almost everything is made in house. We went on a Tuesday once - I hope everyone knows that it's just tavern pizza. We were a little disappointed that we couldn't get our usual mushroom but the tavern was very filling. ”
